This painting by Tom Conway fuses pop-art with an impressionist style to capture some of the 'colour' of the people in the scene. A tartan effect backdrop taken from a popular fashion element ,and with references to British punk music in the painting , the title comes from the classic song by The Ramones .
Perhaps best known as a figurative artist, with an interest in history and vintage style. Along with strong influences from popart and french impressionist movements, my main subjects are dancers, musicians, & fashion, as well as vintage objects. Gradual development of an interest in digital art and photography has allowed me to experiment with different media and tools , producing images that don't exist in physical form until printed.
