Artist's Description
The painting of the racehorse and Jockey has strong white highlights, contrasted against the dark background. The figures have an almost metallic chrome-like finish, and the powerful , muscular image of the horse has a sense of character and calmness. A very different style to traditional portraits of horses, and a great image for your collection.
About Tom Conway
Perhaps best known as a figurative artist, with an interest in history and vintage style. Along with strong influences from popart and french impressionist movements, my main subjects are dancers, musicians, & fashion, as well as vintage objects.
